Today is the Second Birthday of eCommerceMILO! Something different to our recap last year on our first birthday, we are going to reveal for the first time ever, some facts & figures you might not know about us.

Something different to our recap last year on our first birthday, we are going to reveal for the first time ever, some facts & figures you might not know about us.

We are also taking a small break from writing today, as we are getting some of our readers to write about us instead, testimonial stuffs. If you have any feedback, feel free to leave your comment too!


10 things you might not know about eCommerceMILO


Milo Dinosaur?

#1. eCommerceMILO was started with just a phone call between the co-founders, it took just 1 week from the idea to blog setup and publishing our first ever article.

#2. Initial names being brainstormed include eCommerceLAH etc. but we ended up with eCommerceMILO, MILO = Made In Local (and easy to remember).

#3. Nestle contacted us within a month after our establishment, but isn't milo.com an e-commerce website too (acquired by eBay)?

#4. We have rebranded our name and logo but we never change the design theme of our website for the past 2 years, we focus 99% of our time on the content more than anything else.

#5. All articles are written by ourselves (and guest contributors), we spend an average of 2-3 hours on an article, and there are a total of 125 articles published so far.

#6. We publish at least 1 article on weekly basis, usually on Wednesday morning in which our email subscribers will receive our email by 1pm on that day itself.

#7. Thanks to eCommerceMILO, one of our co-founders fulfills one of his dreams to publish a real book, on e-commerce of course.

#8. During the past 2 years, we run and supported events, the first ever online eCommerce job fair among other things.

#9. The co-founders don't make their living by eCommerceMILO. Adrian's full-time business is webShaper, a SaaS shopping cart that connects to various e-marketplaces while CK runs an e-commerce marketing agency.

#10. The main motivation behind our writing and sharing commitment is to contribute to the growth of local e-commerce industry!
